SMS Terms

These terms cover text messages (SMS and MMS) sent and received through Windy, provided by Windstorm Labs LLC ("Windy", "we", "us").

What this program is

Windy lets a person (the "account holder") give their own AI assistant (their "agent") a phone number. That number is the account holder's own: they hold it with Twilio, in their own Twilio account. Their agent uses it to:

• send the account holder notifications about their own account and agent; and
• hold two-way conversations with the account holder, and with the contacts the account holder has approved.

Every message the agent sends begins with [AgentName · Windy], so you always know which agent is writing and that it is sent through Windy.

Who receives messages

• The account holder. They verify their phone number by texting a one-time code, shown in their Windy dashboard, to their agent's number.
• Contacts the account holder approved. Each contact is approved one at a time, by the account holder, in Windy. An agent cannot text anyone the account holder has not approved.

Windy is not used for marketing. We do not use purchased or rented lists, and we do not send promotional messages.

How often

Message frequency varies, because messages are conversational. Each agent and each account holder has a daily limit on messages sent.

When

Agents send messages only between 8 am and 9 pm in the recipient's local time. The one exception is a reply sent within 5 minutes of your own text.

Stopping messages: STOP

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages from that number. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work the same way. You will receive one message confirming that you have opted out, and no further messages after that. Reply START to receive messages again.

Reply HELP to any message for help, or write to [email protected].

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for receiving messages; your mobile carrier's rates apply.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will publish a new version on this page with a new date.
